A sense of community is essential to effective learning and growth. Each semester, Dr. Overbye hosts a group dinner enabling students to connect with each other outside the classroom, creating a sense of fellowship and belonging. Additionally, student volunteers for the annual TPEC conference are celebrated with a recognition dinner, highlighting their contributions in the realm of leadership and collaboration. Each Fall and Spring, the Energy and Power Group Picnic allows students to connect with classmates in other engineering research groups. On an informal level our team is known for celebrating birthdays with plenty of dessert, hosting tasty potlucks, and attending cultural events such as First Friday-Bryan together.
